	Dear President Putin, I am writing to urge you to use your G8 from 15th-17th July 2006 to ensure that the Gleneagles leaders turn their promises into reality. Tens of millions of us voiced our concerns about the ongoing emergency in Africa, and the leaders heard us loud and clear. They have assured us that, along with other pledges, they will: Make AIDS drugs available to all of those who need them, guarantee care for all AIDS orphans, and train up enough doctors and nurses to provide the outstanding care necessary for all. Commit to free Primary education for all children, to be taught and nurtured by those with the best possible training, by 2015. We need sustained action and your leadership to drive forward practical plans to meet the pledges from last year. You can be the driving force that moves words into actions. If these promises are kept, 4.5 million lives can be saved every year by 2010. Bring the other G8 leaders on board – treat every patient, teach every child, and make promises happen.
