Who's Behind LIVE 8

The following people and organisations were involved in making LIVE 8 the greatest show ever:

Bono, Richard Curtis, Sir Bob Geldof, Harvey Goldsmith, John Kennedy, Midge Ure along with the staff of their organisations around the world and many local partners who made the concerts possible - from venue owners and local authorities to volunteers and police forces.

The concert was produced by a number of individuals internationally including Richard Curtis, Sir Bob Geldorf, Harvey Goldsmith, John Kennedy and Kevin Wall with Ken Ehrlich, Larry Magid, Tim Sexton, Greg Sills and Russell Simmons.

The Band Aid Charitable Trust was established to help relieve hunger and poverty in Ethiopia and the surrounding countries. You've seen the pictures, maybe the concerts, and will certainly know all about LIVE 8. Just over 20 years ago it was the famine in Ethiopia and Sudan - now it is the continued grinding, unrelenting global poverty that has moved us to bring the issue firmly into the spotlight of the G8 leaders.

But we don't want your cash - we want YOU.

Often people ask what has happened to the funds raised through Band Aid and Live Aid - what difference has it made and who has benefited from it - here is some information to help answer those questions.
